A doctorate holder, researcher, award-winning community advocate, and engineer in the Scottish Highlands, he combines deep research with a natural gift for narrative. Through his debut novel, Glass and Darkness, Francis invites readers to peer “through the glass, darkly” into the fragile truths and ignorance that shape human experience. When he’s not writing, he enjoys travelling, exploring the world’s breathtaking landscapes, savouring good food, and hiking across Scotland’s unforgettable highlands.
